Thoreau’s Journals Available On-Line

The Walden Woods Project has put scans of Henry David Thoreau’s journals on their web site. These are scans of the 1906 Houghton Mifflin edition; not the more complete Princeton University Press editions, but they nevertheless contain a large share of Thoreau’s journals. As with the selection of Emerson’s journals published around the same time, large sections were left out, but this resource is interesting for anyone who wants to discover Thoreau’s private writings.
